Just a couple of hours prior to kicking off the battle portion of The Voice’s 21st season, Blake Shelton took to Twitter to share a video of him chatting with his Battle Advisor, Dierks Bentley

“Team Blake + @DierksBentley = a pairing you don’t want to miss…,” The Voice coach proudly captioned the video. In the minute-long clip, Shelton chats about how excited he is to be working alongside not only a fellow country singer but a good friend.

The duo is seen walking around the backstage of The Voice chatting about what tonight’s episode may bring to Shelton’s team. Shelton is also seen admiring Bentley’s hair. Bentley shares in the clip, “Blake, a good friend of mine, from way back. We kinda cut our teeth from the same type of music. We’re both old-school honky tonkers.”

Along with Shelton’s video, Bentley also shared a snapshot of him and The Voice coach on Instagram. “Big thank you to my bud @blakeshelton for asking me to be Team Blakes battle advisor on @NBCTheVoice! Y’all tune into @NBC to watch.”

Fellow The Voice coach John Legend recently revealed that there’s going to be some stealing during the new episode. “You four need to be singing together all the time,” Shelton declared during a spot-on performance. “They pay me to pick people, but I don’t care. I’ll take a pay cut, I’m not gonna say. It’s too good.”

The country singer went on to conclude he definitely sees the uniqueness country singer Kinsey Rose brings to each of her performances.“In terms of winning this show, you’re definitely somebody I would think about if I was Kelly. Because you have so much character in your voice.”

Dierks Bentley Talks Teaming Up With Blake Shelton For ‘The Voice’

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dierks Bentley opened up about teaming up with Blake Shelton on this season of The Voice. “It was amazing, you know? It was so great seeing him,” Bentley explained. The country singer also noted that he and Shelton hadn’t seen each other in a long time.

“Just being around him as he talks to these kids, I was really impressed,” Bentley continued. “He’s been doing it for a long time and he’s really good at, like, steering these kids who have these big dreams, these big hopes. This is so important to him.”

While also discussing his “gift” to Shelton and his new wife, Gwen Stefani, Bentley stated, “My presence at The Voice was his present!”

Bentley did go on to add, “It’s really cool, the way that his wedding’s private like that, I’m so happy for him. He found Gwen and he’s doing so well, great music, recording together. He’s doing so great.
