Fans of “The Voice” are familiar with the four coaches appearing on the next season of the show — Blake Shelton, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and the newest edition, Ariana Grande.
Each coach usually has an advisor that they bring in to help with the artists on their team.
‘The Voice’ Mystery Advisors
Fans of Ariana Grande think they know who that mystery advisor will be for her team on “The Voice.” The guess right now is Broadway icon and actress, Kristin Chenoweth. She is most known for her role as Glinda in the musical “Wicked.”
Grande recently shared a teaser promo for the show on her Instagram account. She captioned the promo, “whooooooo do you all think my battle advisor is @nbcthevoice?” Ariana Grande even gave a solid clue: “i’ll give you a hint: she’s the greatest human being on earth.”
During the promo, her advisor was blurred out and their voice was also distorted so fans wouldn’t know who it is. In the clip, Grande asks the mystery person who their musical influences are. The two even adorably hold hands together.
“My musical influences range starts with Dolly Parton, Carol Burnett, Madeline Cahn, it goes into Julie Andrews, it goes all the way down to where I sit right now with you, Ariana Grande,’ they answered. To which Grande said, “That was a beautiful answer. Hold on, I need to hug my distorted advisor.”
She then hugs the distorted and blurred-out figure. Although her “greatest person on earth” hint wasn’t the greatest, fans thought of Chenoweth after listening to the mystery person’s musical influences.
Kristin Chenoweth and Ariana Grande Friendship
The two also have a history as collaborators and overall friends. They appeared in NBC’s “Hairspray Live” back in 2016. Chenoweth told InStyle magazine in 2016 that, “I met Ariana years ago when she was just a little girl. When I was in Wicked, she came backstage with her brother Frankie to meet me. We sort of just fell in love. And now we finally get to work together!”
Earlier, in 2012, Chenoweth told The Baltimore Sun what some of her musical influences are. As you guessed it, they are eerily similar to the mystery advisor on “The Voice.” Chenoweth said, “Julie Andrews was a huge influence. And Barbra Streisand, Carol Burnett, Madeline Kahn, Dolly Parton, Beverly Sills, Sandi Patty. Those might not have been the most popular things in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, but those were my tastes.”
It’s either Kristin Chenoweth or someone very, very similar to the Tony-winning actress. Fans had a number of other guesses too. The other top two were Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga, both of which are extremely possible.
The clip showed all of the judges for next season talking to their mystery advisors. Luckily fans won’t have to wait too long to figure out who these mystery “The Voice” advisors are. Season 21 premieres on September 20. However, the advisors typically don’t appear until later on in the season.
