Gwen Stefani is returning to “The Voice” in style.
And to top it all off, she wore a pair of personalized necklaces reading “Shelton” and “Stefani.”
Gwen Stefani, Fashion Icon
Stefani first wore the necklaces in a video clip posted this October on the 25th anniversary of the No Doubt album “Tragic Kingdom.”
She is well-known as a total fashionista. And her pairing with Shelton has broadened her horizons to include the country music world.
Harper’s Bazaar has called the couple America’s prom king and queen. So of course, as prom queen, Stefani has to care about fashion.
“I always, always loved fashion. It was one of those very instinctual things,” Stefani said at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards, upon receiving the Fashion Icon Award last year. “So the fact that this is happening right now is hard to imagine, because it’s just what I do. I love fashion! I think one of the biggest blessings of the whole thing is just all the amazing, talented designers and people that have like taught me all the things that I know.”
Stefani has said her relationship with Shelton, in the midst of a painful divorce, came as a surprise. And it all started on the set of “The Voice.”
As Stefani’s marriage was breaking down, Shelton announced his divorce to everybody there.
“There I was with my big secret, right? And that’s when Blake was like, ‘Everybody, before we go out there, I want to let everyone know that by the time this airs, I will be divorced,'” Stefani recounted.
She was floored, she told Harper’s. And she said she felt, “exposed somehow, you know? But it was like being handed this gift of a friend who was going through the exact same thing at the exact same time.”
“And then it was just like everything flipped,” she added. “It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and, like, ‘Wow, God, you just don’t know what’s gonna happen next.'”
Stefani has said that the pandemic, while awful, also presents an opportunity. Meanwhile, for her and Shelton, it has brought the opportunity to get engaged.
But as for the engagement ring? Viewers will have to tune in to see it.
