‘The Voice’: Watch Kelly Clarkson Troll Blake Shelton for Not Knowing Her Full Name in Behind Scenes Clip

On Tuesday (September 28th) Kelly Clarkson took to her Instagram to share a behind the scene clip that features a funny exchange between her and fellow The Voice judge Blake Shelton

“At least I get to keep that $500 @BlakeShelton,” Clarkson captioned the post. In the clip, The Voice coach said, “Good night, Blake Tollison Shelton.” She then tells Shelton she’ll give him $500 if he knows her middle name. His response was, “Your real name? Is it Roland?” Kelly goes on to add, “See? I’m the nicer one.”

Clarkson has been a coach on The Voice since the show’s 14th season. Shelton has been on the show since the first season. The duo has a competitive relationship and usually has a witty banter exchange while on stage.

Last month, Clarkson went as far as referring to her fellow The Voice coach as the Prince of Country while attending his show in Denver, Colorado.  “@blakeshelton is KILLIN’ IT tonight in Denver!!! I’ll give him this #PrinceOfCountry … His setlist is INCREDIBLE!!” She also posted a separate picture alongside two of her friends and wrote, “Get it @blakeshelton we are LIVIN’ OUR BEST LIVES!!! THANK YOU.”

Kelly Clarkson Receives Some Support from Fellow The Voice Coach Ariana Grande

During last night’s episode of The Voice, Ariana Grande notably helped Kelly Clarkson secure another singer to her team. The singer, Jeremy Rosado, was looking to pick between Clarkson and Blake Shelton when Grande offered her thoughts about which coach Rosado should pick.

“You have so many really special parts of your voice,” Grande told The Voice contestant. “And I think Kelly might be able to help you.”

Grande doubled down on her comment and said to Shelton, “I do think Kelly might be the right fit in this case. I’m sorry!” To which Shelton fired back with, “It’s on now.”

Rosado picked Clarkson in the end. With Shelton telling The Voice cameras backstage, “I can’t believe Ariana just did that. That’s a slap in the face. The friendship is over.”

Clarkson, who was super excited about Rosado picking her team, thanked the new The Voice coach for helping her out. “That was sisters before misters right there. That’s what I’m talking about.”

Grande went on to add, “I know Blake is mad at me. But I knew he wasn’t my ally. He thinks I don’t see right through him. But I do.” Blake interrupts her by telling Grande that she stabbed him in the back. “I was right there on the edge of the cliff. And you pushed me off.”

Karma notably caught up with Grande apparently, when Samara Brown selected fellow The Voice coach, John Legend, instead of her. Shelton didn’t skip a beat and said, “I’m so happy that I was able to continue to John Legend getting Samara on his team. I just thought, ‘Let me show you what this feels like, Ariana.’”
