As The Voice closes in on its final episodes, Taryn Papa gives an emotional performance of Lee Brice and Carly Pearce’s song. Papa passionately sings, “I Hope You’re Happy Now.”

Papa seems confident as she hits the first note, casting a big smile and dressed to the nines. The singer grasps the mic in her hands and belts out the lyrics. She walks around the stage in her fancy, sparkling pants while showing off her amazing voice.

In this clip of her performance, viewers can’t help but get goosebumps. Singing for “Team Blake,” Papa’s powerful rendition of the hit song is sure to leave you in awe.

Papa sadly was eliminated, despite singing beautifully. While she advanced to the top 17 contestants in season 19 of the NBC show. Through a fan vote, contestants were eliminated. It’s safe to say that Blake Shelton was most likely unhappy with her getting cut.

Papa on “The Voice”

There are only nine contestants left on the show. Although Papa was eliminated, reaching the top 17 is no easy feat. Certainly, this is a stepping stone in her career, and the future in country music looks bright. A record label deal does not seem too far out of reach after this amazing performance.

Papa and Blake Shelton have a little bit of history together. In particular, after the singer branched out on her own, she got a Friday night gig at Ole Red. Shelton owns the spot, but the two didn’t actually end up meeting till “The Voice.” Now though, it seems inevitable that if Papa keeps the gig at Ole Red, Shelton will be seeing more of the singer.

Although Shelton hoped that Papa would win the contest and earn the grand prize, he is not disappointed in her. Earlier in the season, Shelton said that anyone watching should vote for her.

“She knew she had to swing for the fence. I am counting on the country music fans out there to get my girl approved for Team Blake.”
