Actor Tim Allen is eager to watch a new episode of his show “Last Man Standing” tonight, and he hopes his fans are, too.

“Looking forward to a great episode #tonight of @LastManStanding on @FOXTV,” Allen tweed Thursday.

‘Last Man Standing’ Is Approaching Its Series Finale

The popular Fox sitcom is in its ninth and final season. And with an expected total of 21 episodes per season, “Last Man Standing” is on Episode 11 this week.

Allen told Fox News this January that it’s been “horrible” showing up on set each week and realizing that every episode they film puts them one episode closer to the end of the sitcom.

“I thought it would be a good idea [to end the show],” Allen told Fox. “It was a terrible idea!”

Indeed, it looks like the show’s approaching finale is on fans’ minds, too. Allen’s Twitter replies lit up with sentimental tweets.

“Is this the last episode or is there more left?” one Twitter user asked anxiously.

“This show can’t end,” another tweep added. “It needs to keep on going and going.”

If Fox airs one episode every week for the rest of Season 9, that’ll put the finale in late May. So fans have a little more than two months left to savor the antics of Mike Baxter and family before they say goodbye forever.

Tim Allen Draws Attention With Podcast Comments

Allen put in an appearance on “WTF with Marc Maron” recently, and some of his comments on Maron’s podcast drew strong reactions on social media.

“Once I realized the last president pissed people off, I kinda liked that,” the actor shared with Maron. “It was fun to just not say anything.”

Allen also declared that he is a “fiscal conservative” who dislikes paying taxes. But he said he doesn’t believe in pushing his opinions on other people.

“I literally don’t preach anything,” Allen said. “What I’ve done is I’ve just not joined into, as I call it, the ‘we culture.’ I’m not telling anybody else how to live. I don’t like that.”

As a John Kasich supporter who attended former President Trump’s inauguration but plays his cards close to his vest when it comes to politics, Allen is in the minority in Hollywood. Outspoken liberal views are broadly popular there, which may explain what Allen means by “we culture.”

In any case, as “Last Man Standing” winds down, Allen’s fans will still be able to catch him on the History Channel’s “Assembly Required,” which airs Tuesdays at 10 ET/9 CST.
