On Monday afternoon, actor Tim Allen posted a picture of his new face mask and shared his feelings about the pandemic.
Allen Masks Up
“My new mask is how I feel,” he tweeted. “Angry for those who died. Worried for the sick. Sad for those in fear. Exhausted by homeschooling. Hopeful for those not working. Grateful to those taking care of us. Missing Thanksgiving with family. The enemy is not each other.”
The mask reads, “F_COVID.”
The tweet quickly drew approving replies from Allen’s fans.
“Eloquently expressed,” tweeted Twitter user Jodi Haskell.
“Well said, my man,” another user replied.
But not everyone agreed with the actor’s sentiments. “A little bit redundant, wouldn’t ya say? If you’re going to ‘F-covid’… you say it without a mask,” one user tweeted.
A Tough Year for the Sitcom Star
Allen’s sitcom, “Last Man Standing,” is on its last season. The show made it to Season 9 before network executives canceled it this year.
But Allen made his peace with the news in a tweet. “So hard to express how cool it’s been to be a part of this near decade long creation,” he wrote this October. “Our final year…damn. You are going to love what we are planning! Shooting as I type.”
Allen elaborated on that sentiment in a statement. “I so appreciate the incredible support from our fans over this near-decade of work,” he said. “We had all considered to end the show after last season, but together with Fox, we decided to add a year so we could produce a full season to create the gentle and fun goodbye.”
When he’s not wrapping up “Last Man Standing,” the actor has been busy growing a Santa Claus beard. He tweeted a photo of himself with a full beard earlier this month — just in time for the holiday season.
