Former “Home Improvement” star Tim Allen is doing his best to get into the Christmas Spirit. Allen took to Twitter earlier this week to show off his “new look,” teasing one of his most iconic roles.

“Woke up this morning and noticed a bit more stubble,” he tweets. “This always happens to me as I transition into you no (know) who this Christmas.”

The funnyman includes a photo of himself with a “beard” and longer hair. He hints he is changing into Santa Claus as he does in the movie “The Santa Clause.”

Tim Allen in the Beloved Christmas Trilogy

Though it was released 25 years ago, the movie is considered by Holiday enthusiasts to be a must-watch. The movie was so popular that two sequels were made after the original film. “The Santa Clause 2” hit theaters in 2002, while “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause” was put out in 2006. All three films were considered smash hits, raking in over $400 million at the Box Office, according to Box Office Mojo.

The movies star Allen as Scott Calvin, a divorced father who accidently causes Santa Claus to fall from his roof. Upon putting on Santa’s suit, he and his son, Charlie, are magically transported to the North Pole. In Santa’s work shop, head elf Bernard explains that by putting on the suit, Calvin has taken the role of the jolly one. While thinks it is “just a dream,” he begins gaining excessive weight and inexplicably grows a thick white beard in mere seconds.

The first, second and third movies follow Calvin and Charlie as the deal with the hardships of being “Santa Claus.”

Allen has been busy as of late as his hit show “Last Man Standing” prepares for its final season.
