Savannah Talks Guest Hosting ‘Jeopardy!’
During her recent USA Today interview, Savannah Guthrie discusses her experience being the guest host of CBS’ iconic game show Jeopardy! “I was like, ‘Oh this is gonna be really hard. Am I ready for this? Can I really do this?” Savannah recalls after being asked to guest host.
Savannah Guthrie says that the experience was ultimately exciting and states it was such an honor to be asked. “I was really excited, but I also intimated. The producers and writers of Jeopardy! Have been there [for] decades. They are truly at the top of their game.”
Savannah Guthrie says the show is about excellence, knowledge, smarts and it’s completely intimidating. “And I really wanted to do a good job because I wanted to show how much I respected the game. I respect the house that Alex [Trebek] built.”
In regards to the possibility of being chosen as the game show’s permanent host, Savannah Guthrie adds that she’s fully occupied with her full-time job and she’s so happy at the Today show.
