Tom Hanks Debuts Bald Head Makeover for Elvis Presley Biopic

Actor Tom Hanks is rocking his bald head makeover.

Hanks’ Bald Head Shines

Hanks is starring in the upcoming Elvis Presley biopic as The King’s manager Colonel Tom Parker. The haircut is for a good cause, that is, it will make the film that much more realistic.

Despite all that, Hanks isn’t loving the smooth and shiny look of his bald head.

On an episode of “The Graham Norton Show” the actor said, “Can you see that? Look at that thing … I just scared the children, I want to apologize.”

Hanks joked about his “horrible” haircut with Norton.

According to Hollywood Life, the production of the show was shut down after Hanks contracted COVID-19. He and his wife were quarantined in Australia before making a full recovery and returning to Los Angeles.

The film will have Austin Butler playing Elvis Presley in the biopic film. It will be directed by Baz Luhrmann. The film is set to release in November 2021.

Hanks Takes on Colonel Tom Parker

The role of Elvis’ manager that Hanks portrays will have mystery and controversy. Colonel Tom Parker claimed that he was born in West Virginia, but he was actually born as Andreas Cornelis van Kuijk in the Netherlands.

According to Biography.com, the manager took 50% of everything Elvis Presley earned. He once said in response to that, “That’s not true at all. He takes fifty percent of everything I earn.”

However, it is estimated that he defrauded the Presley estate between $7 million and $8 million. He was a showman-like figure who had previously worked on carnivals and called Presley “my attraction.”

There are even conspiracy theories that Parker killed someone in his hometown in the Netherlands. The investigation was short on details.

The relationship between Elvis Presley and his manager was a unique one. It’ll be interesting to see how Austin Butler and Tom Hanks bring these large characters to life on the screen.
