Tommy Lee has some choice words for Ted Nugent after the conservative singer calls him “a convicted felon, domestic violence heroin addict.” And they’re not nice.

Tommy Lee is absolutely eating up headlines this week. The Motley Crue drummer burst back onto the scene first by saying he’s “out of here” if Donald Trump wins another election.

When Lee was asked how he would respond to four more years of President Trump, the musician let it all out. “Dude, I swear to God if that happens then I’m coming over to visit the UK – I’m out of here. I’ll go back to my motherland, go back to Greece and get a house on one of the islands.”

The drummer continues: “The thing that stings the most is that I feel like we’re embarrassing. I feel like people in Europe and the rest of the world look at America and think: ‘What the fuck are you guys doing over there? Stop voting for celebrities and get someone real to run the country’.”

Ted Nugent Guns for Tommy Lee: Lee Responds

Right after Lee says he’s “out of here” if Trump’s re-elected, Ted Nugent throw’s his “Make America Great Again” hat into the ring. During a Blunt Force Truth interview, Nugent discusses his appearance on Sammy Hagar’s TV series, ROCK & ROLL ROAD TRIP. And if you thought Lee wasn’t holding back, wait ’til you hear was Nugent has to say about Lee himself:

“The producers wouldn’t let [Sammy] near me, even though he and I go way back; we’re dear friends. They thought I was dangerous, that I’d come out with a machine gun or I’d slaughter an innocent fawn on television. This is stupidity! I said, ‘So your producers were afraid of me, but they did a show with Tommy Lee, who’s a convicted felon, domestic violence heroin addict.”

“They’re OK with this guy, but not with the Ted Nugent ‘Kamp For Kids’ charity, teaching kids to be clean and sober. I said: ‘Sammy, coldcock those sons of bitches and get out and let’s do the show.’ So, finally, they dangerously acquiesced, and we did the number one Sammy Hagar ‘Rock & Roll Road Trip’ show.”

These egregious comments, naturally, have Tommy Lee responding. “Ted Nugent?” He asks on Twitter. “….Is that guy even still alive?….. I thought he shot himself like 20 yrs ago,” he posts. Capped off, of course, by two emojis flipping the bird, and one in the middle crying with laughter.

While a strong response was warranted, anyone who’s dealt with suicide through a friend or family member knows it’s nothing to joke about. Even if a fellow celebrity is throwing some real hard slander your way.
