TV Land Fourth of July Marathon: When, How to Watch Channel’s Epic Run of Classic TV

TV Land is a haven for lovers of classic television. When it comes to classics of the past several decades, TV Land has it all. From “Golden Girls” to “Roseanne” to more recent sitcoms like “King of Queens,” and even “The Goldbergs,” the popular cable television channel always has something for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s July 4th holiday weekend will be no exception. In fact, the classic television channel is taking it up a notch. This weekend, TV Land and will be airing back-to-back marathons. Each one chock-full of fan favorites non-stop for the next few days.

A Weekend Full of TV Land Sitcoms: Description and Schedule

“New Adventures of Old Christine,” which is about a recent divorcee, Christine Campbell (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) starts off at 3 a.m. CT on July 3. Christine’s brother, Matthew (4 Linklater,) as well as her friend – and sometimes business partner – Barb (Wanda Sykes) are Christine’s closest companions, a well as her son Richie (Trevor Gagnon). Christine’s ex-husband Richard (Clark Gregg) has a new girlfriend. This new girlfriend is also named Christine, thus the title of the hilarious comedy series.

Also part of the non-stop marathon weekend will be the popular series, “Roseanne.” The long-running popular television series stars Roseanne Barr as the title character. The series follows her family, a working-class group, the Conners, as they navigate life. From marriage to children to in-laws to big events of the time, “Roseanne” addresses many timely issues.

Plus, there’s a ton of “Roseanne” for fans. The marathon kicks off at 6:48 a.m. CT, and goes all the way until 5:00 p.m.

Another somewhat recent series to air on TV Land’s marathon weekend is “Two and a Half Men.” The series stars Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper, and Jon Cryer as his brother, Alan. Fans

After his divorce, Alan moves into Charlies beachfront bachelor pad with his son, Jake (Angus T. Jones.) Charlie begrudgingly helps his brother – and Alan is absolutely ready to enjoy Charlie’s lavish lifestyle. Fans can watch along from 5 p.m. CT to midnight.

It’s Not a Marathon Weekend Without a Little “Golden Girls!”

Finally on Fourth of July, the classic television channel will be showing an all-time favorite: “The Golden Girls.” Starring Beatrice Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, the popular television series was popular during its run, and it has also seen a revival in the fandom over the last few years as “The Golden Girls” has become a sort of cult-classic.

The show features as four older women Dorothy (Arthur), Rose (White), Blanche (McClanahan), and Dorthy’s mother, Sophia (Getty), who share friendship as well as a home, in Miami. The ladies each have their own personalities and, while they have developed dear friendships with each other, they often butt-heads as they navigate life in their golden years.

Like the block for “Roseanne,” the marathon kicks off at 6:48 a.m. CT, and goes until 5 p.m. Also like the Saturday block, it is sandwiched between New Adventures of Old Christine” and “Two and a Half Men.”
