Vanessa Bryant, the widow of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant, is not happy with actress Evan Rachel Wood. Well, “not happy” might be an understatement for how Vanessa Bryant feels about the “Westworld” actress.

According to an article by The New York Post, when Kobe died just over a year ago on Jan. 26, 2020, Wood shared the following message on her Twitter account.

“What has happened is tragic. I am heartbroken for Kobe’s family. He was a sports hero. He was also a rapist. And all of these truths can exist simultaneously,” Wood said.

On Saturday (Feb. 27), Bryant responded to Wood’s 2020 tweet. She has reportedly said that she was just learning of what Wood had said last year. Bryant shared her thoughts via an Instagram story on her personal account.

According to The New York Post, Bryant posted the following: “Your false, insensitive, defamatory and slanderous tweet on 1/26/20 is vile and disturbing to say the least. Behavior like this is part of the reason why innocent black men go to jail for crimes they didn’t commit. An accusation doesn’t make someone guilty.”

Bryant also reported added: “YOU DON’T KNOW THE FACTS OF THE CASE,” in her response to Evan Rachel Wood.

Wood has not responded to Bryant’s comments, according to The New York Post.

Vanessa Bryant Also Expresses Anger of Producer’s 2020 Comments

Wood wasn’t the only actress who faced the fury of Vanessa Bryant this weekend. The New York Post has also reported that Bryant shared the same words with Abigail Disney. The film producer also tweeted a negative comment about Kobe when he died. Disney’s tweet reportedly said: “The man was a rapist. Deal with it.”

According to The New York Post, the rape allegations against Kobe Bryant occurred in 2003. At the time, a staff member of a hotel in Colorado accused the NBA star of sexual assault. The charges were later dropped because the 19-year-old who accused Kobe of sexual assault would not testify in the case.

However, the 19-year-old did go through with a civil case against Kobe two years later. This case was settled out of court, according to the publication.

Fans Express Support of Bryant Family Via Social Media

Supporters of Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant, and the Bryant family were not happy with Evan Rachel Wood. And, they have shared their opinions via Twitter. Here are a few examples.

“Yeah we’re gonna go ahead an CANCEL #EvanRachelWood for this one… #VanessaBryant we will forever stand by you & this woman who slings hate toward someone who can no longer defend themselves is a coward and will never be half the woman you are,” Twitter user @Samanthalaspisa posted.

“BTW: KUDOS to #VanessaBryant for calling out #EvanRachelWood,” @Rusteia shared on Twitter.

During February, Evan Rachel Wood accused Marilyn Manson of abuse. The two were once a couple and engaged to be married.
