Video: Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson Discusses Which Presidential Nominee is ‘Closer to Jesus’

In a Youtube video, Duck Dynasty patriarch, Phil Robertson, discusses which presidential nominee is ‘closer to Jesus’ just days before the election.

At the start of the video, Robertson is quick to point out which nominee is grounded in faith, a virtue that is very important in the Robertson family.

“I’ve not even heard the word, Jesus, Our Father, God, and certainly nothing about the Holy Spirit come out of Joe Biden’s lips, or any in the Democratic party,” Robertson states.

Phil Robertson Questions Who is ‘Closer to Jesus’

He then reads the words of Oliver Wolcott. Wolcott was the Governor of Connecticut, military general, as well as a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

“Through various scenes in life… God has sustained me,” reads Robertson. “May he ever be my unfailing friend. May his love cherish my soul. May my heart with gratitude acknowledge his goodness, and may my desires be to him and to the remembrance of his name. May we then turn our eyes to the bright objects above, and may God give us strength to travel the upward road.”

Robertson continues to read, saying, “May the divine redeemer conduct us to the seed of bliss, which he himself has prepared for his friends at the approach of which every sorrow will vanish.”

Robertson closes the pamphlet, while commenting on Connecticut’s moral values now.

“Who is closer to Jesus, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? Donald Trump or Joe Biden?”

Robertson then pauses after the question. He has some choice words to say about his answer.

“Our contemplation is whether we’re going to vote a known heathen as President of the United States and a known heathen party — gross, immorality, perversion, murder of their children– and you’re going to vote for that?”

‘Donald Trump or Joe Biden?’

Phil Robertson acknowledges that President Trump has sinned in the past, saying that so has Biden, himself, and all of humankind. Trump, however, is on the right path for America.

“Trump is pro-God, pro-life, pro-self defense, pro-second amendment, pro-duck hunting.”

Once again, Robertson asks the question, “Donald Trump or Joe Biden?”

He says he isn’t voting for Donald Trump because he is perfect, but because he is more like Jesus.

“Who is the best man for the job when you get right down to it– putting the personalities aside. Who is the best man with the best policies? Donald Trump or Joe Biden? It’s a no-brainer. All you older Democrats, you know that.”

“I’m going with Donald J. Trump. He’s come a long way in the spiritual area. So, I’m sticking with him.”
