No one quite preaches the importance of family the way “Fast & Furious” actor Vin Diesel does.
In fact, it’s become an internet meme at this point. Internet users tease Diesel for his millions of times using the word “family,” both in real life and as his character on “Fast & Furious.”
Vin Diesel recently posted a video on Instagram alongside his co-star from the franchise, Jordana Brewster. He wrote, not surprisingly, “What a magical weekend. Family… yeah I said it. Haha. All love… Always.”
Even Diesel is in on the jokes poking fun at him now. In the video, Diesel admits that there are only “a few people in this world that he loves” and proceeds to list off his mom and Brewster. He calls her family again and says whenever they’re together his “heart is singing.”
Vin Diesel and Jordana Brewster Close Relationship
Diesel and Brewster play brother and sister in the “Fast & Furious” franchise. He says that sibling-like relationship does in fact continue off the screen.
That relationship goes both ways. She revealed to People recently that she really shares that sister title with Vin Diesel’s real-life sister, Sam Vincent. Also, when it comes to good advice, Diesel dishes it out better than anyone else in her life.
“Pre-pandemic, I had this huge life decision to make and I talked to my dad, I spoke to my mom, I spoke to my manager, and I called Vin, and I listened to nobody. But I listened to Vin’s advice,” Brewster said to the news outlet.
The two have been working together for years on “Fast & Furious” films including the most recent “F9” movie. There have been several close-knit relationships to come out of the franchise, including Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker’s very close friendship.
“It’s really wonderful that I have him as sort of this steadfast guide and that’s been really great … And I also just… There’s so much trust that I have in him to guide,” Brewster also said.
Vin Diesel and Justin Lin
Jordana Brewster isn’t the only person that Vin Diesel calls family on the set of “Fast & Furious.” Although that word is thrown around quite a bit, it still means a lot to the cast and the crew.
Recently, Diesel shared a touching photo of his son sitting next to director Justin Lin. The photo was taken after a marathon session of pre-production meetings and discussions related to the final two “Fast & Furious” movies that will wrap up the longstanding franchise.
“First of all, kudos to Justin who was in 18 hour preproduction meetings and still found time to spend with his nephews and nieces… that is truly someone that cares about ‘Family,'” Diesel wrote.
While Diesel is emotional due to the family-like connection, he’s also getting sentimental since the movie franchise is soon wrapping up.
He also wrote, “you could never imagine the work, the care that has gone into this final chapter. After all, it is the saga’s goodbye… to the best fans any film or franchise has ever known.”
