We were waiting for it all week long and Walker Episode 5 titled “Duke” finally aired on Thursday evening and it was everything we anticipated.

The hit show airs on The CW and stars Jared Padalecki as Cordell Walker in the Walker Texas Ranger reboot.

In tonight’s episode, we saw Cordell Walker’s past and present collide. We kind of had a feeling it was coming after the way last week’s episode ended. Walker’s son, August, came to know of his father’s undercover past of an identity called ‘Duke Culpepper.’

August is understandably worried about his father’s past. He is especially worried about a woman named Twyla that his dad knew. August even goes on to say that “his dad looked the happiest” in those memorabilia photos.

This just goes to worry him more that his dad may leave the family yet again. Meanwhile, he realizes that his son had sent Twyla a text. She sends a reply back saying that she was in town and wants to meet up.

‘Walker'” August Almost Blows Walker’s Cover

Walker again goes undercover as Duke and agrees to go meet Twyla at a motel. After all, he doesn’t want to endanger his family and blow his cover. And August, not understanding the situation, almost threatens to blow Walker’s cover.

Padalecki even mentions the scene while live-tweeting the episode on on his official Twitter account.

“UH-OH!!!! What is August doing there?!?! 😳😳😳 #walker #WalkerFamily” he wrote.

It seems understandable that August wants some answers from his dad. But his timing couldn’t have been worse for the situation at hand.

Nonetheless, Micki finds herself roped up into the case as well. She isn’t fully aware of what Walker is doing and the two are forced on opposite sides of the law. Walker, still undercover as Duke, and Twyla get into an encounter with police that leads to Walker being shot and falling into a swimming pool.

However, he is promptly pulled out and is okay. It’s clear that he is wearing a bulletproof vest. Either way, Walker is assured that Twyla is in custody and that he can finally put his Duke persona to rest for good.

There’s no doubt that this is shaping up to be a terrific action, crime, and drama show. Unfortunately for all of us, there will be no new episode next week. We will have to wait until Thursday, March 11th, at 8 p.m. EST to find out what happens next.
