Odette Annable recently opened up about her and her husband’s tragic loss after she suffered a miscarriage. In an Instagram post she shared on Tuesday, the “Walker” actress opened up about the devastating news, alongside a pair of black-and-white photos from when she was 15 weeks into her pregnancy.
Sadly, in the post, Annable stated the images were “not a pregnancy announcement” but an announcement that this was her third pregnancy loss.
Speaking openly about the misfortune, the 36-year-old revealed she and her husband “finally felt like we were in the right place” to grow their family. The two got back together in August 2020 after being broken up for nine months.
Annable saw her pregnancy as a “gift” and added that she and her husband were “elated” to learn that they would expand their family. In the emotional post, she also confessed that she and her husband had previously suffered two miscarriages after their daughter, Charlie Mae was born.
She added that the images in the post were taken in December of 2020. Annable noted that she published the post on what would have been her due date. She added that “there was another plan. And our baby is no longer with us.”

Annable also spoke about why she decided to post something so personal on a public forum. To her, it allowed her to offer the world a forthright look into her life.
She also noted that “what you see on a social media page isn’t always what’s going on in real life.”
Explaining that her appearance online “consists mostly of a highlight reel.” Now, she says she wants to “keep it as authentic as I can.”
She went on to add: “But this is real and this is part of life. The really hard stuff that you never think or want to come your way.”
As for her miscarriage, we can’t help but feel the heartbreak in her words. “I miss feeling this sweet baby grow. But I also know that it was a gift carrying our baby. And a privilege for even the short time we spent together.”
“It never felt right to not share or celebrate this moment in our life. I just needed the space to do it. I have found that there are always silver linings in the hard things if you look closely. And they are without a doubt, my husband and my daughter.”
