On the Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer and talk show host stepped onto the stage to show off her award-winning voice.

The former American Idol winner hosts a country music talk show that sits down with hot artists in the industry. She also takes some time to play with her band, Y’all, behind her in a section she calls Kellyoke. This time around, Clarkson belted out a “dance-worthy” cover of Erasure’s hit song, “Always.”

Clarkson has always been known for her strong, powerful vocals that can really build into a breathtaking crescendo. While her belting range usually sits in that upper-middle area, she can reach some pretty high notes without sneaking into her head voice. She displays this ability to perfection in this particular performance.

Another extremely impressive trait of Kelly Clarkson’s voice is its versatility. She puts this trait on full display with the wide variety of artists she can cover. For instance, she can cover artists like Erasure in this song, but can also cover artists like Willie Nelson. In another version of Kellyoke, Kelly Clarkson covered Nelson’s “Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain.”

What is Coming Up on the Kelly Clarkson Show

The Kelly Clarkson Show sits down with a wide variety of individuals within the country music scene. However, Clarkson recently announced on Instagram that she will step outside of the country music genre… and into the White House?

That’s right, the country music star announced that she will sit down for an interview with the First Lady of the United States of America, Dr. Jill Biden.

“I’m going to the White House, y’all!” Kelly Clarkson told her fans in a video posted to Instagram. “I am so excited! Tune in February 25.”

As she alluded to, the interview will air on the Kelly Clarkson Show on Thursday, February 25. This will be Dr. Biden’s first-ever interview from the White House since President Joe Biden’s inauguration. Clarkson will also perform another episode of her famed Kellyoke from the East Room of the White House.
