The Las Vegas Raiders are taking COVID-19 precautions seriously. Even their touchdown celebrations follow good health and safety practices.

The Raiders debuted their new stadium in Las Vegas on Monday Night Football with a win over the New Orleans Saints. There were a lot of festivities, but it was the celebration by wide receiver Zay Jones that is getting the most attention.

After scoring on a 15-yard pass from Raiders quarterback Derek Carr in the second quarter, Jones looked as if he was going to high five teammate Nelson Agholor. But he stopped short. Instead, he mimed squirting sanitizer into his teammates’ hands before carrying on with his touchdown celebration.

The Raiders captioned the celebration in a tweet. “Always remember to sanitize.”

The Monday Night Football commentators loved it. Fans also would have likely enjoyed the celebration. But the stands were empty for the inaugural game at Allegiant Stadium as part of the team’s COVID-19 precautions.

As the Raiders got the win as they start over in a new city, there could be trouble ahead for at least one member of the team.
