If you are looking for a story that will brighten your day, then look no further. This contestant once threw a Wheel of Fortune game to help out a fellow veteran.

On an episode of Wheel of Fortune from Veteran Week in November of 2015, was this player either throwing a game for a contestant or simply was unsure of the answer. You decide.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Throws Game

When the buzzer sounds, which indicates that time is running short for the episode, the Final Spin puzzle appears for players. The category is “What Are You Doing?”

The first contestant named Troy guesses a “T” and is rewarded with two.

Nura, the only woman contestant, is next, where she guesses a “Z.” Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak is stunned by the guess, asking her to repeat the letter to double-check. There are no “Z’s.”

The final contestant, Steve, guesses an “R.” There is one.

The constants continue to guess common letters, but Nura seemingly is throwing the game. After the “Z,” she waits too long to give an answer and is buzzed out of time. Next, she guesses a “Q,” to which she is turned down again.

Pat Sajak starts to catch onto her odd guesses, saying, “I wonder what letter Nura will call.”

She responds to the Wheel of Fortune host with “X.” Sajak doesn’t look surprised and laughs as he informs her that there is none. Upon her next turn, Nura holds her tongue once again and runs out of time.

Pat Sajak Questions Nura

When the contestant across from her, Steve, guesses the correct answer of “following footprints,” she begins to cheer with genuine happiness.

At the end of the show, Sajak walks over to speak to the young Wheel of Fortune contestant.

“Now, may I ask you a question?” asks Sajak.

“Sure!” says Nura, who won $13,970.

“Now, you called some unusual letters in that round,” states the host.

“That’s what I saw,” she says with a mischievous grin on her face.

“Well, that was an unsatisfactory answer, but she’s not under oath. There’s nothing I can do, which she’s the big winner with $13,979.”

The two start laughing and cheering on the clip. Next to Nura, Troy wins $4,300.

Could this be Nura’s way of giving the win to a fellow veteran because she has already made enough in her mind? We feel as though the Wheel of Fortune contestant was paying it forward. Changing the world, one spinning wheel at a time!
