Earlier today, Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak and letter-turner Vanna White teased that they would have a special guest on the show. Sure enough, the celebrity popped in for the special announcement, but the camera crews probably had to lower their tripods to get him in the shot. Pepe the king prawn from the Muppets joined the game show stars to announce the upcoming Halloween movie, Muppets Haunted House.
Following the game, the Muppets star announced the film would premier on Friday on Disney+ and that Sajak would be making a cameo appearance as well. Although, viewers might find the Wheel of Fortune host’s performance a bit stiff since he’ll be starring as a marble bust.

Pepe also joined Sajak’s daughter Maggie to share more details about his upcoming role.
“Pepe, you are the star of the movie, right?” the Wheel of Fortune media correspondent asked.
“Well, I mean, you know. Technically, Gonzo is the star, but you know, I think I’m pretty good.”
‘Wheel of Fortune’ Special Guest Shares His Experience Working with Pat Sajak
The king prawn also claimed to have spun the wheel, though Maggie seemed to think this might have been a bit difficult for the small crustacean. However, Pepe explained that the only hard part of the task was not winning “any monies.”
Despite the fact that Pepe might think that the Wheel of Fortune host’s last name is Hijack, the two stars of Muppets Haunted House have a pretty good relationship. During his interview with Maggie, Pepe dished on all of the details regarding Sajak’s time on set with the Muppets.
“Oh, well, you know, he was a good sport,” the king prawn told Maggie. “He wore a lot of great makeup.”
Pepe also said that the Wheel of Fortune star had to “behave himself,” something Maggie doesn’t think her father does very well.
‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans Come Close with Guesses Regarding Special Guest
Prior to Pepe’s appearance with the Wheel of Fortune stars, the show asked fans to guess who would be joining the team after the show. Some answers were a bit far off, however, there were a few that came strikingly close. The show gave away one vital clue in the previous Instagram post by tagging Disney in the caption.
“Pat’s daughter,” one fan wrote.
Although Maggie is a special part of the Wheel of Fortune team, she might not qualify as a “guest” anymore. Several others guessed “Mickey Mouse,” thinking the fun-sized Disney character matched the clue from the post. One game show fanatic even answered, “Mayim Bialik,” co-host of Jeopardy!.
Only a few fans correctly guessed Pepe to make an appearance on the show, perhaps recognizing his red hair and small stature.
