It seemed like just about everyone was affected in one way or another when Facebook, Instagram, and other social media apps went down. But not Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak.

The entire world was thrown for a loop on Monday when some of the largest social media sites in the world went down at the same time. Facebook and its family of apps — some of which include Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger — began to display error messages to their users just before noon eastern time. And then shortly after that, Facebook had seemingly disappeared from the internet altogether.

Now, technology outages are more common than you might think. But seeing so many of the world’s most-used apps go down at the same time definitely turned a few heads. The last time Facebook had a significant outage like this was back in 2019 due to a technical error.

However, it doesn’t seem like the longtime Wheel of Fortune host has been too bothered by it at all. As a matter of fact, Pat Sajak to his official Twitter account to post a hilarious message regarding the social media outage.

“Facebook down. Instagram down. Thank goodness people still have Twitter to be nasty to each other,” he said.

And it doesn’t seem like the beloved Wheel of Fortune host is alone in his thinking.

“Dude, Pat, I’m having a GREAT time on Twitter today,” a fan of the show replied. “I make my social media experience awesome. (I’m usually here anyway, just nice to see a bit more activity than usual).”

“How dare you trigger me so, mean twitting person!” another person joked. “I’ll double ban you and cancel your dogs, you scoundrel! How was that? Do I pass the audition?”

‘Wheel of Fortune’ Host Had His Contract Extended to 2024

Great news for all of you Wheel of Fortune fans out there. If you haven’t heard yet, Pat Sajak and Vanna White have both had their contracts extended until 2024.

Fans of the show have been wondering for some time now when the 74-year-old host would officially hang it up. But he doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. The same can also be said for his beautiful sidekick, 64-year-old co-hostess, and letter-turner Vanna White. The two have been the stars of Wheel of Fortune have been at it now for an incredible 40 years.

And even when they do call it quits, we can still expect to see the same hilarious personality from Sajak on his official social media accounts. At least on Twitter, that is, so long that another Facebook outage doesn’t happen. Speaking of which, Sajak had one more joke about the social media outage to get off his chest.

“I can’t believe Facebook engineers just called me for advice. I told them their call was important to me, and then I put them on hold and went to the mall.”
