On Friday (March 5), “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the roles of celebrities in America. Based on the tweet, Sajak appears to be calling for society to change how it views the opinions issued by celebrities.

In fact, it also appears that Sajak is wanting society to put more value on the opinions of people who aren’t celebrities.

Here’s what he tweeted on Friday: “In the real world, the fact that people can act or sing or host or tell jokes or appear on a “reality” show doesn’t make their opinions any more valid or worthy of notice than someone who works in an office or drives a truck or bags groceries or fights fires.”

Pat Sajak’s tweet seemed to really resonate with his followers. Dozens had posted responses to the tweet as of 5 p.m. on Friday (March 5).

“Correct. The problem is they think they are because their celebrity status allows their views to be amplified in a way truck drivers’ views cannot. Uniformed people just see a quote by a famous person and believe it, no matter how asinine it is. Of course, except you, Pat,” one follower posted in response.

There was also this response, which included a funny joke about “Wheel of Fortune”: “Thank you Pat!! That definitely needed to be said, I hope it is heard as well. On a more serious note, can I buy a vowel?”

Another response to Pat Sajak’s tweet on Friday was: “Amen to that. Don’t assign “knowledge,” “intelligence,” or “wisdom” to someone based on talent in another area.”

“Yes you are correct. – we are all human,” another Twitter user shared in response to Sajak’s tweet.

Some of Sajak’s fans said they had fun while scrolling to find their birth year. “I pretend that I’m playing Wheel if I have to spin my way to my birth year. It’s been a long time since I was born,” one said.
