Here’s something many of us have probably never considered: If you were to become a professional wrestler, what would your wrestler name be? Surprisingly, this was something the hosts of “Wheel of Fortune” recently debate during an episode of the long-running game show.
Those hosts, of course, are Pat Sajak and Vanna White. A clip shared to the “Wheel of Fortune” Instagram account shows them debating their professional wrestling monikers. And, honestly, one of the hosts has a much better wrestling name than the other.
Now, you might just be asking yourself what inspired this famous television duo to have such a debate. Well, according to Sajak, it was one of the contestants who appeared in that episode of “Wheel of Fortune.”
“So, as you probably heard at the beginning of the show (contestant) Gerren used to be a professional wrestler,” Sajak says to White in the Instagram clip. “And, went under the name of Black Venom.”
Sajak then asked his “Wheel of Fortune” co-host what her professional wrestling name would be.
“Hmm. I don’t know,” Vanna White then says. “Do you have any thoughts?”
Sajak then offers up the perfect name for the 64-year-old television star. “How about ‘Vowel Vixen?’ I like that,” he says.
Unsurprisingly, Vanna “Vowel Vixen” White agrees: “Ooh. That’s a good one. Yeah. I’m good with that.”
White then wanted to know what professional wrestling name the 74-year-old Pat Sajak would choose.
“I would be named ‘Eddie,’ probably. Maybe ‘Larry,'” the Sajak says. “That’s about it. I’m not very dynamic in the ring.”
‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans Weigh In On What Wrestler Name Pat Sajak Should Choose
In addition to the clip, the “Wheel of Fortune” Instagram account added a caption that asked fans to share their thoughts on what Pat Sajak’s wrestler name should be. The caption reads: “We LOVE Vanna’s wrestler name, but Pat’s could use some help. Any suggestions?”
And, fans responded with their ideas. Here are a few: Guru, Hijack Sajak, Magic Sajak, MegaWord, Power Pat, Pat the Punisher, The Spinner, Down Pat, and Wheel Slayer.
Also, one fan suggested that if Sajak was a professional wrestler, his “signature move” would be “The Final Spin.”
