After so many years on television together, Wheel of Fortune hosts Vanna White and Pat Sajak have built quite a friendship. That includes giving gifts to one another from time to time.
Apparently, about 30 years ago, Vanna had crocheted Sajak a quilt. Imagine having a quilt from the Vanna White. The two get together to record an outro bit at the end of every show and this time, Vanna got Pat good when she questioned him about that quilt.
“Speaking of heavy quilts,” Vanna starts, “Do you still have the one I crocheted for you?”
“I forgot,” Sajak retorted. “That’s a long time ago. I’ll bet that’s 30 years [ago]. Well, it’s probably not a heavy quilt anymore. It’s just a bunch of threads…You know I don’t know where it is. I know we have it! I know because we treasure it. We have it in a little box marked…’treasures.'” The crowd got a few laughs in during his response.
This isn’t the first time nor will it be the last time that Vanna ribs her cohost a bit. The two have been together on the show for so long. So, over the years they have become good friends and it always shows in their interactions. Fans love the charisma and attitude that the two bring to the show. With almost 40 years under their belt, Wheel of Fortune keeps going strong all these years later. Hopefully, that quilt has lasted all these years as well.
‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Gets Roasted
You have to stay on your toes when Pat Sajak is around. That means contestants on Wheel of Fortune are vulnerable for at least half an hour, however, the internet is much worse than Sajak Poor Melanie Fisher of North Carolina must have been feeling the nerves while on the show. For that, social media made sure to chime in.
Her first mistake was early on in the show. She came out and as she went to answer the puzzle, she said, “Jolly goof fellow.” Of course, the correct answer was, “Jolly good fellow.” After bragging about her 4.0 GPA, things just went downhill the rest of the way. Things didn’t stop there for Fisher.
Soon, she was saying “Wilkes and sheep,” instead of “Wolves and sheep.” That is a tough one to swallow. There is no telling what went on in her mind, but there are worse places to be than on Wheel of Fortune mispronouncing puzzles.
