‘Wheel of Fortune’: Pat Sajak’s Daughter Maggie Posts ‘Fair Warning’ About Upcoming Special Father’s Day Chat

For 37 years, the world has been graced with Pat Sajak at the helm of Wheel of Fortune. The host of the game show holds the world record for having the longest career as a game show host on the same show. That alone is impressive.

During his tenure as the show’s host, he got married and has raised a family. He has also become one of the biggest names in television.

Sajak has two children, Patrick and Maggie. Patrick is 30 years old, and Maggie is 25. Recently, Maggie put out a teaser for a video she made with her father for Father’s Day.

Maggie is a country singer but is well versed in Wheel of Fortune. She has been on the show many times, first making an appearance when she was only one year old. More recently, she took over Vanna White’s duties when her father when he needed surgery. White stood in for Sajak during that period of recovery.

Nonetheless, she is very close with her father. So, to celebrate Father’s Day, which is on June 20, less than three weeks away, she had a chat with Pat. Maggie put out a teaser poster on her Instagram story about the chat.

She gave her fans a warning about what is to come during their conversation. Maggie said, “Fair warning: Dad jokes WILL be told.”

If you aren’t already familiar with the host of Wheel of Fortune’s comedic humor, you are likely in for a treat. Over the years, he has put his humor on display for the world. While it might not necessarily classify as “dad jokes” on the show, there are hints of it all over the place.

Pat Sajak Has a Blast on “Wheel of Fortune” and It’s a Big Reason Why the Show Is so Successful

You can find many examples of his fatherly humor in his handling of the contestants’ losses on obvious answers. Or even how he jokes about people winning big prizes on the show.

Recently, a contestant won a trip to Barbados after landing on an “Express $1,000.” Before the contestant really had a chance to digest what she had in store for herself, Sajak joked about it.

He said, “I just love the look of terror when people land on [the express].” While this little comment is hilarious from an outsider’s perspective, it might not be so funny to the contestant.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the essence of a dad joke. It is absolutely hysterical to the father saying the joke, but not funny to the person it is directed toward.

At any rate, we at Outsider are certainly looking forward to hearing the Wheel of Fortune host bring the heat with dad jokes. Hopefully, others are too.
