Watch out Vanna White. It looks like Maggie Sajak may be coming for your spot. Pat Sajak’s only daughter has been posting stunning snaps of herself on her Instagram account that has us thinking she should take Vanna’s spot after she’s touched her final tile.
In one pic, Maggie is channeling her inner-Vanna White as she poses in a beautiful off-the-shoulder floral dress that’s perfect for spring. Behind her, she has the perfect backdrop of a lemon tree as the sun sets in the background. Her piercing blue eyes and golden blonde hair also add an angelic feeling to the pics.
Many of her followers were gushing about how photogenic Maggie is — leaving comments like “beautiful,” “gorgeous,” and clapping emojis.
Pat Sajak’s Daughter Lets Him Have Most of the Spotlight
Even though she’s pursuing a career in country music, the post makes us think she could also fare well in modeling— she is close to six feet tall. She’s stayed out of the spotlight for most of her life, even though her dad’s success on “Wheel of Fortune” has made him a household name.
Sajak and his wife, Lesley, welcomed Maggie into the world on January 6, 1995. Before her, they had her older brother Patrick, who’s now in his 30s. Now 26-years-old, Maggie has nothing but a bright future in store. Heck, she’s already accomplished so much. At 17-years-old, she released a music video to her first country music single, “First Kiss.”
After high school, Maggie got her college degree from Princeton University and received a degree in history. After college, she has maintained a low profile since finishing her studies at the prestigious Ivy League university.
Even though she stays out of the spotlight, she’s been known to make a few appearances on “Wheel.” Even before she could talk, fans got to see her on “Wheel of Fortune.” She wasn’t quite old enough to be a contestant, but her dad brought her out in 1996 when Pat Sajak introduced her to viewers soon after her first birthday.
Maggie Sajak’s Few Appearances on ‘Wheel of Fortune’
When she was young, Maggie and her brother Patrick appeared on the show pretending to be White and her father in 2000.
Maggie, who was just five years old at the time, appears on camera in a hilarious bit with her older brother. Many years later, Maggie returned to set to fill in for her father in November of 2019. Sajak underwent emergency surgery after suffering from a blocked intestine. Instead of suspending production and taking time off until Sajak recovered and was able to work, the show’s producers decided to continue filming episodes in his absence with the help of someone special.
As a result, the show put Vanna White in Sajak’s place with Maggie at the board to reveal the letters. Even though Pat Sajak was unable to work, it didn’t keep the show from making sure they had another Sajak on deck. Even though Pat Sajak had to miss a few episodes, it a rarity for the longtime host.
Besides his emergency surgery, the only other times he’s missed a taping was when he came down with laryngitis in 1996 and a brief hiatus in 1989 when he was hosting his late-night show.
Her dad broke the world record for having the longest career as a game-show host. In 2019, Sajak had hosted “Wheel of Fortune” for 35 years and 198 days— setting a new world record.
In addition, it looks like he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. His “Wheel of Fortune” contract with ABC will have him hosting until 2022.
