As one of America’s most friendly and well-known faces, Vanna White has become a fixture in the world of entertainment. For many “Wheel of Fortune” fans, she’s become constant figures in their lives. However, it’s a mutual feeling: both White and Pat Sajak share the same fondness that their fans have for them. So when White had a huge announcement to make, she decided to share it with her millions of fans at home.
As America’s favorite letter-turner, Vanna White decided to unveil her pregnancy announcement uniquely. During an episode in 1992, she revealed a puzzle that revealed the letters V-A-N-N-A’S P-R-E-G-N-A-N-T.
The life-changing announcement was revealed during a regular taping of the classic game show, with White turning over the letters to a puzzle as a contestant guessed them. White, who was 35, had been married to restaurateur George Santo Pietro for two years. Her first child was due that spring. After the announcement, Sajak and “Wheel of Fortune” creator Merv Griffin were both there to congratulate White.
Even though White and Pietro divorced later in 2002, they share two beautiful children: a daughter named Giovana (a.k.a. Gigi) and a son named Nicholas (a.k.a. Nikko).
Vanna White’s Children Today
Vanna White has kept her kids primarily out of the spotlight, yet she sometimes includes them in various social media posts. In June of 2020, White celebrated Nikko’s birthday by hanging out with her children. “Happy 26th birthday to my amazing son, Nikko!” she wrote on Instagram. “So happy to have you home to celebrate! Love you!”
Her kids, both of whom are in their mid-20s now, make sure to stay in touch with their mom. It’s evident White loves they visit her. In early 2020, as the coronavirus pandemic was ramping up, Gigi stopped by to make sure her mom was alright when she was quarantining. Per Closer Weekly, 24-year-old Gigi painted her mom’s nails while catching up. “Thank you, Gigi, for my manicure!” White exclaimed on Instagram at the time.
Vanna White’s youngest, Gigi, was born on July 2, 1997. Fans got to know Gigi and her older brother when the two were just little tikes. They often visited their mom at work while taping “Wheel of Fortune.” White once shared a photo with her kids on the set of the game show in 2003.
Today, Gigi is a tattoo apprentice at a studio in Huntington Beach, California. Her brother Nikko is a graduate of Oregon State University. However, it’s unclear what Nikko does professionally.
