Why ‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Are Going Off on Former Guest Host Aaron Rodgers

by Shelby Scott

“Jeopardy!” fans are incredibly angry with former game show guest host Aaron Rodgers. Although, while he has received criticism for his audition last year, their frustration has nothing to do with his hosting abilities.

“Jeopardy!” fans have gone off on the Greenbay Packers quarterback regarding his COVID-19 vaccination status. According to Fox News, Rodgers recently tested positive for COVID-19 later confirming his status as unvaccinated, after previously claiming he had been “immunized.”

As to Rodgers’ current season, the football player missed Sunday’s game against his team’s face-off with the Kansas City Chiefs. While the game ensues, Rodgers is required to remain in quarantine and later test negative for COVID-19 before returning to the field.

As for our “Jeopardy!” fans, the game show followers are infuriated as Rodgers could have easily put the contestants, as well as others, at risk of infection.

Following Rodger’s latest diagnosis, “Jeopardy!” fans have taken to social media to blast the football player. And they were not kind.

“Aaron Rodgers wants to host Jeopardy and wouldn’t get one question right in the Biology category,” snarked one fan.

Another quipped, “JEOPARDY CONTESTANT: ill take vaccines for $2000, Aaron RODGERS: I won’t.”

Needless to say, “Jeopardy!” fans appear more than relieved the football player did not become the game show’s regular host.

Ken Jennings Hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ on Anniversary of Alex Trebek’s Death

In other “Jeopardy!” hosting news, longtime fans of the hit show are thrilled to see the all-time champ hosting on the anniversary of Alex Trebek‘s death.

Following the iconic host’s passing last November, “Jeopardy!” fans everywhere mourned, and others are still adjusting to the long-running game show without his familiar face. Nevertheless, the show’s latest host, Mayim Bialik, has served as a positive influence both on the “Jeopardy!” set and in the ratings. Following the Mike Richards debacle earlier this season, it appeared likely ratings would drop.

However, whether or not ratings improved following Bialik’s addition to “Jeopardy!” the upcoming episode featuring Ken Jennings is sure to see a rise in scores.

Following the announcement that Jennings would temporarily take over from Bialik in the coming episodes, fans shared their excitement and contentment on social media.

“I can’t wait to watch Ken Jennings host Jeopardy! again!” wrote one fan. Another said, “I am looking forward to watching Ken Jennings. He is great.”

Jennings’ return comes as the reigning all-time champ took a record 74 wins during Alex Trebek’s time hosting the game show. Following his record-setting streak, Jennings and Trebek became fast friends. At the time of the elder man’s death, Trebek gifted Jennings his personal cufflinks.

Of his time spent with Trebek, Jennings said, “Sharing this stage with Alex Trebek was one of the greatest honors of my life.”
