‘Wicked Tuna’ Wants You Dancing Along to Its ‘Big Crimpin’ Music Video

by Jonathan Howard

To celebrate the 100th episode of Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks, the social media team put together quite a promotional video together. If you thought the show needed its own music video, well, you’re in luck.

Over on Twitter, the official Wicked Tuna account shared a new video. This Sunday is going to be a new episode and quite a milestone for the spinoff Outer Banks. Put together with a hint of autotune and a drum machine, the video is all about crimpin’. Check it out below.

“We’re going to have “Big Crimpin'” stuck in our heads all weekend…Catch the 100th episode of #WickedTuna: Outer Banks Sunday at 9/8C on National Geographic.”

At first glance, one would think this was a parody of the Jay-Z classic, Big Pimpin’. While the title of the new song might be a homage to that hip-hop classic, the beat and lyrics are nothing alike. However, whoever put this together did a great job, and as far as catchy tunes go…this is one.

Captain Dave Marciano was sure to share the post. He quote retweeted it and added his own little caption. While he didn’t comment on the video, he did encourage fans to check out the show this weekend as the new episode approaches. The National Geographic fishing show is always full of great action shots, it looks like more is in store this weekend. There are going to be a lot of folks with “Big Crimpin'” going through their minds as Sunday approaches.

‘Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks’ Doghouse Has to Be Perfect

If the Doghouse wants to stay on top of the fleet, they need to be fishing very well. This weekend will tell if that is possible. With the Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks season coming to a close in just three episodes, things are getting tight. That means that Britton Shackelford needs to be on his game.

Out on the waters, the wind blows and the water splashes and everything ends up wet. It isn’t just a pleasant day out on the water putting a line in the water. This is a serious business and for the rest of the fleet, their eyes are on Doghouse. The competition is getting serious and for these captains and their boats, every fish counts.

Among the other captains competing on Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks are Greg Mayer, Nick Gowitzka, Bobby Earl, Zack Shackleton, Adam Price, and Jimmie Horning. Either of these men could find themselves on top. So much could change in just three episodes. If Doghouse holds on, it will be almost a miracle. Stranger things have happened. However, it is clearly going to be a tall task. All of that action begins this Sunday.
