“The Pursuit of Happyness” actor Will Smith is back with another post documenting his quarantine fitness levels. He took to Instagram to share a video of his journey back to peak physical shape. He still has a ways to go, but based on how shredded he’s been for roles in the past, we’re sure he’ll back in no time.

The video sees Smith standing on a rotating platform, taking in the glory of his lockdown dad bod. He’s out of shape by Will Smith standards. But by most accounts, the guy looks pretty healthy overall.

He shakes his head saying, “That is so nasty.” Then, the video cuts to a Rocky-esque montage of him in the gym. He looks to be going pretty hard too, working up a sweat as he lifts. At the end of the montage, the video cuts back to a shot of Will Smith on the platform from the beginning, but this time he’s letting his gut out. Props to whoever edited that frame in.

Fans will remember his post from the beginning of May. Will Smith posted a photo, claiming to be in the worst shape of his life.

“I’m gonna be real wit yall – I’m in the worst shape of my life,” the caption read.

And again, it looks like maybe he let himself go for a few weekends in a row, but it’s nothing too crazy. Well, by American standards, at least. Fellow actor Arnold Schwarzenegger even chimed in, echoing that sentiment.

“Will, you poor baby, I’m crying for you, even though you’re still in better shape than 90% of America. Keep pumping!” Arnold commented on the post.

Fans Chime in on Will Smith’s Workout Progress

Personal fitness is all relative. Where one person may feel good with where they are, another might be in better shape and still have a desire to work towards improvement. And if there’s one thing we know about actors, it’s that they often find themselves in situations where they have to gain or lose weight quickly.

Will Smith happens to fall in the camp of wanting to tone up. So he’s doing something about it. And his fans were ready with words of encouragement for the “Independence Day” actor.

“I’m sure you’ll be back in shape in one month lol,” wrote one Instagram user. And we don’t doubt it.

“Stoked for the final form! Gonna be crazy,” wrote another.

“Half way back to the I am legend physique Just keep using your WILL power. You got this,” another supporter commented.
