The hunt is still underway for fugitive Brian Laundrie. Unfortunately, many innocent people are stuck in the crossfire of the missing man’s mess.

It’s safe to bet that everybody now knows who Brian Laundrie is, and it appears that everyone and their brother are on the lookout for it. Laundrie is the person of interest in his ex-fiancé’s murder.

Unfortunately, look-alike, Severin Beckwith got the thrill of a lifetime when the FBI went storming through his hotel room. Beckwith had been hiking the Appalachian trail with a friend with United States Marshals gave him quite a fright. While staying at the Fontana Village Resort & Marina in North Carolina, Marshals barged into Beckwith’s room wearing riot gear and shields, with guns pointing at the innocent man’s face.

One agent claimed that Beckwith has a similar facial indentation – a “notch” in the upper part of his inner ear. As Beckwith showed his identification and stated that he was missing one crucial element – tattoos – the agents let him go but not without a warning. They told him to shave his beard for the unforeseeable future as he looks just like Brian Laundrie.

Beckwith shares, “Next thing I see is a bunch of guys with riot shields with ‘U.S. Marshals’ written on them,” Beckwith said. “Handguns pointed at my face.” Brettmann was still in bed. A marshal helped her get dressed as they handcuffed Beckwith, still in his underwear, and took him out to the hallway. He had a hunch why this was happening. “I really hoped I was right,” he said.

Now, a lot of people look just like Brian Laundrie. Tall, skinny bald guy with a beard. This isn’t the first “sighting” and frightening experience for somebody.

More Brian Laundrie Sightings

North Carolina seems to be the new hotspot for Laundrie sightings as calls and reports are coming in.

A dispatcher in North Carolina announced over the scanner a few days back, “White male subject wearing a light grey t-shirt… walking toward 301… advised that he looked like Brian Laundrie. The individual was located and confirmed that it wasn’t the fugitive.

Dennis Davis phoned dispatchers after running into a guy he believed was Brian Laundrie. He claims he was driving near the Tennessee-North Carolina border when a Ford pulled up alongside him. Davis says, “He was talking wild. He said that his girlfriend loved him, and he had to go out to California to see her. And he was asking me how to get to California.” No license plate was obtained, no accurate truck model, nada.

Soon after Laundrie’s disappearance, a few individuals have been spotted on neighboring cameras near the Laundrie home in North Port, Flordia but have all been confirmed as false sightings.

Authorities are still searching the Carlton Reserve in Flordia where Laundrie’s parents believe him to be. They told law enforcement that their son had taken off for a hike early in September at the Carlton Reserve and haven’t been seen since.
