The world is still looking for finality regarding the Gabby Petito case.
Her body was discovered in the Grand Teton National Park near a campsite. The cause of death has been ruled as strangulation, as well.
It’s been a month since her body was found, but authorities have been unable to find the No.1 sole suspect of the investigation— her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie. The two were traveling in Gabby Petito’s camper van across the U.S.
Suddenly, he returned back home with the van without Petito.
Gabby Petito Camper Van on the Move
Now, some internet sleuths have spotted Gabby’s Ford Transit camper van on the back of a truck traveling on the highway in St. Petersburg. According to The Sun, it’s unclear where exactly the van is headed or where these pictures were taken.
Her camper van was confiscated by police at Laundrie’s parent’s house in order to search for any form of evidence. The photos of the camper van on the move also grabbed people’s attention for another reason.
Internet users are claiming they can see an angel shape in the cloud formation right about the van. One person wrote, “Can we just appreciate the cloud angel that’s over it?”
Someone else then wrote, “I saw that too. Like an angel peeking into the van through the roof.”
Whether or not you can see it yourself in the image, it’s an intimate connection to Gabby Petito. Her father, Joe Petito, memorably uploaded an image of his daughter in front of a mural with angel wings.
There is now also an eight-foot angel mural located in her hometown of Blue Point, New York.
Where is Brian Laundrie?
The investigation is now entering week five and there have still been no real advances leading to the capture of Brian Laundrie.
Authorities have been searching the 25,000-acre Carlton Reserve in Florida for weeks, seeing as many believe he may be hiding out here. Survival experts have claimed that there was no way Laundrie would still be alive if he has spent all this time hiding out in the alligator-filled, remote reserve.
Meanwhile, Gabby Petito’s stepfather, Jim Schmidt, wants people to change the language they use when speaking of Laundrie.
He said in an interview with “60 Minutes Australia” that Laundrie is not missing, rather he is hiding. He went on to say that he wants “vengeance and justice” for his stepdaughter. Even further, he wants Laundrie “to pay for his crimes and to spend [the rest of his life] in prison.”
Schmidt also thinks that the blame extends beyond just Brian. He expressed intense frustration that the Laundrie family was doing absolutely nothing to aid in the investigation.
