On Wednesday (September 22nd), neighbors of Gabby Petito’s fiance Brian Laundrie shared details about his now-infamous return home in his van.

During their interview with Fox News’ The Story, William and Charlene Guthrie stated that the family of Gabby Petito’s fiance appeared to go camping after Laundrie returned from Wyoming without the missing 22-year-old woman.

The duo also stated that they didn’t know that the van had actually belonged to Gabby Petito. They just assumed that it was Laundrie’s van.

“We just thought they had come back from wherever. We didn’t know they were on a trip,” Charlene said. But she also admitted that she and her husband don’t know much about the young couple.

William also said the Laundries were packing up a new camper to put on the back of their pickup truck. “I saw them doing some work. And then when they were prepared for their trip, I saw them loading the camper,” he revealed.

The Laundrie’s neighbors add that they found it odd that Gabby Petito’s fiance and his parents would go on a camp trip together in a small camper.

According to CNN, a law enforcement dive team called the Sheriff’s Underwater Recovery Force (SURF) was called to help in the search for Gabby Petito’s fiance Brian Laundrie at the Carlton Reserve in Florida on Wednesday.

Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Kaitlyn Perez also confirms, “These divers are specifically trained and very talented in low visibility bodies of water. They dive down where you and I can’t see anything at all.”
