The manhunt continues for Brian Laundrie. At this point, Laundrie has been missing for more than a month.
Gabby Petito’s mother reported her missing on September 11. Laundrie was her boyfriend and, at that time, the sole person of interest in her disappearance. He vanished two days later, telling his parents he was going hiking in the Carlton Reserve near their Florida home.
Currently, the authorities are attempting to bring Brian in on bank fraud charges. They also plan to question him about Gabby’s death. However, the authorities and citizens continue to come up empty-handed.
It must be frustrating for everyone involved. The North Port Police Department and the FBI are spending considerable time and money on the effort. At the same time, many people want to see this case come to an end. They want to see justice for Gabby Petito. That most likely begins with capturing Brian Laundrie. Many believe that Brian’s parents hold the key to finding their fugitive son. With that in mind, protesters have disrupted the peace in the quiet North Port neighborhood. They seemingly want to make sure Laundrie’s parents don’t get a moment’s peace until he is found.
In fact, some protesters took it upon themselves to beat on the Laundrie’s door. Brian Laundrie’s parents haven’t been as active in the search as some people would like. They haven’t had much to say to the media or the authorities. Some protesters must have thought they could be the ones to crack this case.
Brian Laundrie’s dad, Chris, isn’t having it. After the protesters came to his door, he took an extra step to keep his house safe. Recently, the Daily Mail reported that someone witnessed Chris Laundrie mount a Ring doorbell camera at his front door.
Brian Laundrie’s Family Faces Threats, Harassment
Brian Laundrie’s sister, Cassie, doesn’t speak to the rest of her family. She does, however, speak to the press and authorities. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have much information to share. As a result of her public statements, her parents and their attorney have turned their backs on her.
Recently, Cassie had to ask her local police department for extra patrols in her area. Brian Laundrie’s sister and her husband have received death threats and other harassment in connection to her brother. They have children in the home and just want them to be safe.
