However, the report released additional upsetting information instead. It turns out, her remains likely fought the elements for weeks before their discovery.
This places her likely time of death around August 29th. Now, the manager for the Merry Piglets restaurant in Jackson, Wyoming is speaking out about ‘surveillance footage’ from August 27th. This marks the last night anyone saw Gabby Petito alive with Brian Laundrie. Here’s what the restaurant manager said.
Anonymous Restaurant Manager’s Account Seems to Conflict Past Accounts of That Night
The newest restaurant manager to come forward from Merry Piglets spoke to News Nation Now correspondent, Brian Entin, but wished to remain anonymous. Her recollection of the night includes Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie allegedly attempting to “dine and dash.” As the couple left Merry Piglets, however, a server reportedly ended up catching them. Allegedly, Gabby paid the order from the street before going back inside the restaurant to try to negotiate a refund. However, by this account, the restaurant refused this request.
Entin pressed the restaurant manager for more details, specifically asking about the potential for CCTV footage from the night. He says: “[Merry Piglets] said they did have surveillance video but didn’t know it was significant at the time and it has since been deleted.” Furthermore, this anonymous manager says of the incident: “There were no loud voices, no one got angry, no one threw a fit here.”
Now, this takes a departure from other Merry Piglets staff accounts. One employee, in particular, remembers an “explosive argument” from that night. The press identifies her as Nina Celie Angelo. Nina previously offered this statement: “It’s crazy because it wasn’t just like we passed them on the street – it was a full-blown incident.”
Another manager also told outlets that their restaurant is “too busy to specifically remember any particular customers.” So, in other words, the picture remains murky.
Did Financial Troubles Play a Role in Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie’s Relationship?
Before his death, the Feds put out a warrant for Brian Laundrie’s arrest. This warrant included charges of “card fraud” officially coded as “Use of Unauthorized Access Devices” in legal jargon. The FBI said Brian “knowingly and with intent to defraud, used one or more unauthorized access devices, namely a Capitol One Bank debit card” and personal identification numbers for accounts not under his name. This leads many to speculate that his relationship with Gabby might have included some financial troubles. At this time, experts are still working to discover his cause and manner of death.
