The Gabby Petito case continues to grip the nation with an emotional stronghold as news emerged of Brian Laundrie’s suspected death at the Carlton Reserve last week. Officials matched the partial remains they found on October 20th to dental records belonging to Brian Laundrie. Still, they could not confirm his manner or cause of death. Despite rumors and conspiracy theories surrounding this identification process, DNA has neither confirmed nor denied what the dental records show either.

The Laundrie family attorney, Steven Bertolino, stated recently that the remains were on their way to an anthropologist for further analysis. In the meantime, the case continues to draw attention with the latest comments from dark novelist Stephen King himself. Now, a woman claiming to be Brian Laundrie’s ex is also joining the conversation. She penned a heartbroken tribute to him, which is further explained below.

Woman Claiming to be Brian Laundrie’s Ex Says He Was Her ‘Eternal Flame’

Gabrielle Darling marks the name of the young woman who says she and Brian Laundrie dated at one point. While her recent letter doesn’t address him by name, her previous posts allegedly do. The account is currently locked to only her social media followers. The letter supposedly addressed to Brian Laundrie reads as follows:

“Hardest thing I’ve ever been through. Feels like a part of my heart has been ripped out, and no matter what, no one will be able to fill it. The only thing to do now is hold those memories very close to what is left of my heart, and make something positive out of this, somehow.”

“I get to keep every single thing we lived, every place we went to, every song we listen to, every conversation we had, the tears, and the laughs. i get to keep,” she continues. “Some people know you as a monster, i do not know that person. I know the person that I had ups and downs with, the person that I shared occasional arguments over some things, and the person I eventually left for other reasons.”

The long-winded post gushes more about the supposed relationship for several paragraphs but ultimately finishes with the following:

“I loved you then, and I will love you until the day God decided it’s my time to go and meet you there. Until then, our flame is eternal #eternalflame “

Are These Claims Authentic?

As of now, not necessarily. The woman’s claims remain un-authenticated. In fact, it’s unclear when she even would have shared this relationship with Brian Laundrie. This is because Brian and Gabby Petito share a long history. They first dated in high school with plans to marry thereafter. Sources did reach out to the Laundrie family lawyer, Steven Bertolino about the matter. However, he refused to comment. In other words, the claims remain unsubstantiated.
