On Friday (October 15th), Gabby Petito’s father, Joseph Petito, took to his Twitter account to share a snapshot from the Grand Teton National Park.

“I now know why you came here. #gabbypetito has a beautiful view from now on. Love you, and miss you,” Gabby Petito’s father revealed in the post.

Gabby Petito was last seen alive in the Grand Teton National Park during her cross-country road trip with her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie. She spoke to her parents on August 25th and wasn’t heard from again, but Laundrie returned to his home in Florida. H

Gabby Petito’s body was retrieved from the national park on September 19th. Days before the discovery of Petito’s body, Laundrie went for a hike in the Carlton Reservation in Sarasota County, Florida. He hasn’t been heard from since September 14th. Law enforcement is currently searching for him, as he is considered a person of interest in the case.

Gabby Petito’s Family Believe the Laundrie Family Know that Brian is Still Alive

Meanwhile, Gabby Petito’s family ha criticized Brian Laundrie’s parents for them refusing to fully cooperate in the case.

Petito’s mother, Nichole Schmidt, reportedly shared on the upcoming episode of 60 Minutes, “They know most of the information. I don’t know why they’re doing this to us. I feel like we need to just know. At this point.”

Gabby Petito’s father also stated that if the Laundries know something and they’re withholding that information, it’s clear they don’t want the Petito family to know and that’s cruel. Schmidt explained, “Their actions don’t show that their son is missing. It shows that they’re just comfortable. They probably know where he is.”

In regards to what she really thinks of the Laundries, Schmidt described the 23-year-old’s parents as cowards. “This was evil. She was taken at someone else’s hand.”

The 60 Minutes interview comes just a little over a week after Brian Laundrie’s father, Chris, was asked to join law enforcement in the search for the 23-year-old man. In a statement, the Laundrie’s lawyer, Steven Bertolino, stated that Chris Laundrie was asked to assist law enforcement in their search for Brian at the preserve. “Since the preserve has been closed to the public, Chris has not been able to look for Brian.”

Bertolino also stated that the preserve is the only place that Chris and his wife Roberta believe Gabby Petito’s boyfriend is.”Unfortunately, North Port police has to postpone Chris’ involvement. But Chris and Roberta are hopeful there will be another opportunity to assist.”

Reality TV star, Dog the Bounty Hunter, eventually slammed Brian Laundrie’s father for assisting law enforcement in the search for his son weeks after the search began. “It’s a little too late, don’t you think?”
