Gabby Petito’s family has reportedly been cooperative with police, investigators, and media to return their daughter home. And also according to recent reports, the same can’t necessarily be said about the Laundrie family.
Brian Laundrie finds himself as the main person of interest related to the homicide of Gabby Petito. He remains a “person of interest” versus a “suspect.” Still, the FBI believes that questioning Brian is necessary to unlock many long-awaited answers. The case now joins a growing list of “America’s Most Wanted” case files.
It’s hard for many in the public to fathom the Laundrie family’s reaction. Neighbors report the family acting as though nothing changed. For the longest while, the family wasn’t talking at all. After the FBI’s involvement in the case, their lawyer started pushing out sporadic statements. Victim Rights Advocates are speaking out, echoing the public’s sentiments. Gabby Petito’s uncle also blasted the Laundrie family. He says: “You are as guilty and complicit with this massive cover-up and stalling tactic.”
Now, the Petito family lawyer issued a new statement directed towards the Laundrie family attorney.

Scammers Try to Profit Off Tragedy
First, ‘fake’ GoFundMe pages started circulating claiming to collect funds for Gabby Petito’s search. Now, The Sun reports similar activity through Etsy and Amazon. In fact, vendors are selling merchandise with Gabby Petito’s likeness. However, the family has nothing to do with these sales or the profit these vendors are accruing. At the end of the day, it’s sad to see.
Only two legit sources of funding exist for the family. Firstly, there’s this GoFundMe page. Second and lastly, there’s this organization.
