Gabby Petito Memorial Removed Outside of Brian Laundrie Family Home by North Port Authorities

The confirmation of Brian Laundrie’s death has further ignited the efforts to create a memorial in Gabby Petito’s honor outside of the Laundrie’s home. Prior to the discovery of Laundrie’s remains, Petito’s supporters placed signs, flowers and messages related to the late traveler. Now that the case has new information to offer, the number of memorials and tributes on the Laundrie’s lawn has significantly increased. Most recently, supporters created several posters, an enlarged photo of Petito, countless flowers and even a “Clean/Dirty” laundry sign.

Unfortunately for these supporters, North Port city officials came to remove the sentimental display on Wednesday evening around 10 p.m. ET. Fox News shared footage of a city official gingerly removing the items from the Laundrie’s yard. In the video, the man removed each part of the display and placed it into the bed of his truck. Also at the scene was a North Port officer in their vehicle. It’s possible that the officer remained close so that the city official could remove the memorial without conflict.

Take a look at the memorial in the clip here.

This isn’t the first time that North Port police removed tributes to Gabby Petito from the Laundrie family’s home. At one point, the city tried to encourage supporters to contribute to the memorial at the town’s center, rather than placing items in the Laundrie’s yard. While some complied with this suggestion, most continued to deliver their pieces to the family’s home.

Woman Claims to Be the Ex of Gabby Petito’s Fiance

The dismantling of Gabby Petito’s memorial comes as reports of Brian Laundrie’s alleged “ex” surface. A woman by the name of Gabrielle Darling has come forward, claiming that she and Laundrie dated at one point. Previously, the woman wrote a letter to Laundrie on her social media accounts. Since then, she has made her accounts private. However, followers of the case made note of the bizarre claims and the message she penned to Laundrie.

“I get to keep every single thing we lived, every place we went to, every song we listen to, every conversation we had, the tears, and the laughs. i get to keep,” the woman wrote. “Some people know you as a monster, i do not know that person. I know the person that I had ups and downs with, the person that I shared occasional arguments over some things, and the person I eventually left for other reasons.”

The woman ends the post by deeming Laundrie her “eternal flame” and vowing to love him until the day she dies. As of now, these claims are purely speculatory and do not hold any truth. However, it does call into question Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie’s separate romantic pasts and whether this will offer any new information to the case.
