Holly Williams, Daughter of Hank Williams Jr., Speaks Out After Sister’s Death

Hank Williams Jr.’s daughter, Holly Williams, is speaking out about the passing of her half-sister, Katie Williams-Dunning. On Saturday night, Williams-Dunning, 27, was killed in a car crash in Tennessee.

Holly Williams took to Instagram on Sunday morning to pay tribute. She posted a family photo explaining that it was the last one taken with her late sister. “I have no words. On Friday morning I talked the family into taking this picture and had no idea it would be our last together with my precious little sister Katie,” she wrote.

She continued by asking friends and followers to send prayers during this difficult time. “ALL we need is prayers. My daddy. My little brother. Katie’s husband (he is awake and responding don’t know injury extent yet). My niece and nephew. Her Mama. The Dunning family. All of us. So. Many. Prayers. Jesus is close. Thank you all 🙏🏼❤️ “

Williams-Dunning’s Brother Reacts

Williams-Dunning’s brother, country singer Sam Williams, also took to social media asked his followers to pray. “My sister and brother in law have been In a terrible accident. Please pray for them so hard! Katie Williams and Tyler Dunning,” he wrote.

“NEED EVERYONE WHO SEES THIS TO PRAY FOR KATIE WILLIAMS RIGHT NOW

AND TYLER DUNNING !!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!” he wrote in another post.

The crash took place around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday night. Williams-Dunning was behind the wheel, a Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesperson tells People. She and her husband, Tyler, were towing a boat when their SUV crossed the highway median. After rolling over, the SUV came to a halt on the shoulder of the road.

The authorities plan to share more details as they learn more. “This is an active investigation and more details will be made available later,” a Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman said, according to The Paris Post-Intelligencer.

Williams-Dunning and her husband wed in October 2015. The couple shares two children together, 5-year-old son Beau and 2-year-old daughter Audrey Jane.
