We all know we can’t get Chick-fil-A on Sundays, but what about Memorial Day? Those looking to celebrate the holiday with the chain’s famous chicken nuggets or sandwiches— you’re in luck. The beloved fast-food chain is in fact, open on Memorial Day. However, their hours vary and are limited.
Per its website, most Chick-fil-A restaurants will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time on Memorial Day. However, they urge customers to check your local franchise, as some restaurants might open earlier or later. Customers cans click on “Find a Restaurant” on their website.
While it’s common knowledge that all Chick-fil-A locations are always closed on Sundays— holidays are a different story. The franchise only closes on specific holidays.
The chicken chain is usually closed on Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, and Thanksgiving. However, Chick-Fil-A does not close for Memorial Day. The holiday honors all Americans who died in the service. The days also is seen as the unofficial kick-off to the summer season.
Chick-Fil-A Still Experiencing Sauce Shortage
Despite their doors being open, you may run into a dilemma. The chain has seen a sauce setback in recent weeks. As a result, the chain has been handing out rationed sauce packets.
According to a spokesperson, the company instructed several locations to give out only one packet of Chick-fil-A sauce per customer.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work through this,” Chick-fil-A reportedly wrote in an email. The decision to limit the sauces comes nearly a week after the chain announced that they were running low.
On May 4, the chain posted an alert on its website titled: “Industrywide Supply Chain Shortages.”
A Chick-Fil-A spokesperson said that the company is working to resolve the sauce setback. “Due to industry-wide supply chain disruptions, some Chick-fil-A restaurants are experiencing a shortage of select items, like sauces,” they said. “We are actively working to make adjustments to solve this issue quickly and apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience.”
However, the chain recently made its two famous sauces available in select stores. Customers can now purchase Polynesian and Chick-Fil-A sauce nationwide.
Arby’s, Bojangles, Burger King, Chipotle, Dairy Queen, Domino’s, Dunkin’ will also be open.
In addition, Jimmy John’s, KFC, Krispy Kreme, McDonald’s, Panera Bread, Papa John’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, Shake Shack, Sonic Drive-In, Starbucks, Subway, Taco Bell, Wendy’s and White Castle will also be open.
