The newly released death certificate for late actress Kelly Preston shows that she died in her family home in Florida. Preston, famous for her role in “Jerry Maguire,” died at the age of 57.
The wife of movie star John Travolta died at their Clearwater, FL home at 11:46 a.m. on July 12. Medical professionals then transferred her body to a funeral home. Preston was cremated at Brooksville Crematory in Brooksville, FL, US Weekly reports.
Preston battled breast cancer for two years. On the day after her passing, Travolta spoke out in an Instagram post.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” he wrote. “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. “
The “Grease” actor continued by writing: “My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. All my love, JT.”

Preston was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Oct. 13, 1962. She studied acting at the University of Southern California. In addition to “Jerry Maguire,” she also starred in hit films such as 1988’s “Twins” and 1999’s “For Love of the Game.”
Travolta and Preston met on the set of “The Experts,” a1989 film. They tied the knot two years later in Paris. Preston’s last film appearance came in 2018’s “Gotti.” She starred alongside her husband, who portrayed John Gotti in the leading role.
Preston is survived by her husband, Travolta, her daughter, Ella, 20, and her 9-year-old son, Benjamin.
