Kirstie Alley and Megyn Kelly are chalking up Thursday night’s final Presidential debate in the win column for Donald Trump. The Hollywood actress and TV personality both took to social media to share their thoughts on the last head-to-head debate between Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
Kirstie Alley Live-Tweets the 2020 Presidential Debate
Kirstie Alley vocalized her support for Donald Trump earlier this month. Since then, she has frequently been tweeting her political opinions. That trend continued on Thursday night. The Look Who’s Talking actress live-tweeted the final presidential debate, which she declared a victory for Trump.
“I LOVE THIS Trump! COOL CALM AND POIGNANT !! You have WON THE DEBATE!!” Alley tweeted.
In addition to voicing her support for the President, Alley expressed her frustration with moderator Kristen Welker. She accused Welker of allowing Joe Biden more speaking time than Trump.
“Miss moderator you’re doing pretty well but I’m timing all of this and you’re giving Joe way more response time check it out…but Trump’s still winning,” she tweeted.
Alley’s tweets about the debate sparked heavy backlash on Twitter. However, on Friday morning, the 69-year-old actress explained why she feels that it’s important to engage with others that share different opinions.
“It’s a fact of life that we tend to listen to those we agree with and ignore those we don’t,” she writes. “The same could be said for their actions. So the only way I can survive this whole ordeal is to tune out the noise & LOOK. It’s right for me at least to OBSERVE then make my own decisions.”
Megyn Kelly Pinpoints Why She Thinks Trump Won Debate
Kelly, who served as a debate moderator in years past, feels that Donald Trump’s performance outshined that of Joe Biden’s.
“Trump won this debate, handily,” she tweeted. “Biden wasn’t a force at all. Trump was substantive, on-point, well-tempered. Definitely helped himself, when it mattered most.”
Earlier in the evening, Kelly explained that she feels Donald Trump would have been served best by conducting himself in the first debate as he did in the final one. She also predicted that his poll numbers will see an uptick.
While Alley and Kelly voiced support for Donald Trump, a number of other public figures voiced opposing opinions. Notably, NBA superstar Lebron James took to social media to blast the President during the debate. Learn more here.
