NBS News correspondent Kristen Welker has taken over as moderator for the final 2020 Presidential Debate, and Twitter is here for it.

After the first harsh Presidential Debate, NBC’s Kristen Welker was tapped to take on the final showdown. She is only the second African-American woman to moderate solo in history. She is not allowing the two Presidential candidates to derail. Instead, she is taking charge.

And Twitter is all in.

But first, a bit of history on Kristen Welker.

Kristen Welker has Twitter on her Side for Final Presidential Debate

Historically, moderators have been white. Welker, however, is breaking that tradition.

Welker is an American television journalist who works as a correspondent for NBC News. Additionally, she is based in the U.S. capitol, Washington D.C. She is also co-anchor of Weekend Today, and also the Saturday edition of Today.

Welker’s father is a Native American engineer, and her mother is an African-American real estate agent. Also, the reporter graduated from Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia in 1994. Following this, she went on to Harvard to earn her Bachelor of Arts in 1998. While at Harvard, she went through study in history – and left with honors. Before her career, she interned for Today in 1997.

Conversely, Pro-golfer and Twitter-verified Stina Sternberg says the winner is Welker.

Also, the average joes of Brooklyn are all in for Kristen Welker, as well. User @mmpadellan says “Holy sh*t, Kristen Welker just cut Trump off at the 30 second mar, and he had to just EAT it. I am LOVING her performance.”

Further, PR Whitehouse correspondent Geoff Bennett says Welker is “offering a master class right now in how to moderate a presidential debate. As we knew she would.”

In addition, Daily Beast’s lead editor Molly Jong-Fast says Welker is “killing it”.

Plenty more big-name verified accounts are also laying praise on Welker.

Writer Charlotte Clymer is also weighing in.

Fox correspondent Bill Melugin, in addition, is here for Welker.

Perhaps the best response, however, comes from Emma Lord. Firstly, the author and Buzzfeed editor wants to know if anyone has Kristen Welker’s Venmo. But not because she needs the money.

Because “She’s gonna need a drink.”

And this couldn’t be more true.

The Final 2020 Presidential Debate: Unlike Any Other

Both candidates gave harsh performances during the first debate. This time, however, measures have been taken to prevent the same. For this outing, mikes will be able to be muted.

Further, the debate is prefaced by Outsider.com’s Halle Ames:

“The show will have an in-person attendance and takes place at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Each person in the crowd will wear a mask, maintain socially distancing as well as undergo testing.”

“Like the previous debates, it will also be split into six different 15-minute segments. Main topics will be covered at the moderator’s discretion. A new moderator is in, however. The moderator for tonight’s debate is Kristen Welker from NBC. The topics she has chosen to cover tonight will be “Fighting Covid-19.” In addition, “American Families,” “Race in America,” “Climate Change,” “National Security,” and “Leadership.”
