Mariska Hargitay is all of us in her most recent Instagram post. The “Law & Order: SVU” star looked relaxed and content as could be as she wished everyone a happy Friday.

Based on the view through the window, it looks like the Olivia Benson actress is starting her day outside on a covered porch. She’s a woman after our own hearts. When the sun’s out on a Friday morning, there’s no place we’d rather kick back and get ready for the day.

And a happy Friday back atcha, Benson.

The “Law & Order: SVU” star has been busy as of late. She’s currently working on Season 23 of “SVU,” which will premiere in late September. She sent fans into a frenzy recently, though, when she revealed that there’s going to be another crossover with Christopher Meloni’s show, “Law & Order: Organized Crime.”

Hargitay Trolls Chris Meloni with Hilarious Video Message

Hargitay posted a hilarious video, inspired by Meloni’s own message, that saw her whispering on the set of “SVU.” She played off Danielle Moné Truitt’s presence by pretending that Chris wouldn’t recognize her, even though they’re partners in “Organized Crime.”

“…Part of the reason that I can’t get back to you is because I’m shooting my own show. You don’t even know what I’m doing. Our shows are so separate. You wouldn’t recognize any of the guest stars on our show,” Hargitay said.

Funny as the videos are, they represent confirmation of something fans anticipated since the shows’ previous seasons came to their ends—a potential reunion between Benson and Stabler. Of course, they reunited during “Organized Crime” Season 1 debut, but many are now wondering if there’s something more serious in store for the former partners.

The 23 Season ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Veteran Nearly Turned Down the Benson Role

Oh, how different things might have been. Who knows? Without Mariska Hargitay as Olivia Benson, maybe Chris Meloni doesn’t get chosen for Elliot Stabler.

It’s hard to imagine with the hindsight we have, but there was a time when Mariska Hargitay’s manager didn’t think the NYPD detective role was going to be good for her career. But fortunately, after several auditions, it became clear to the “Law and Order: SVU” star that this was the role for her.

“I was like ‘This is it!’ My manager was worried because it was very dark and not up my alley because I liked comedy. And I was like, ‘This is right up my alley.’ Never in my life had something been more known to me,” Hargitay told Parade in 2019.
