It was supposed to be a normal press conference. A Nevada election official was going to chat presidential results. Instead, he was interrupted by a Donald Trump supporter, yelling about Joe Biden.

Social media users immediately spotted the spectacle of a guy dressed in shorts and a sleeveless, white “BBQ, Beer, Freedom” t-shirt screaming about the “Biden crime family … stealing the election.”

The unidentified man kept screaming the same theory: “The Biden crime family is stealing the election,” he yelled. “The media is covering it up!”

Then he cranked up the volume, “we want our freedom for the world. Give us our freedom Joe Biden. Joe Biden is covering up this election. He’s stealing it!”

Then, the guy calmly walked away.

Nevada Election Press Conference Calmly Resumes

After the guy shut up, Clark County Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria seamlessly took control of the press briefing.

“Where were we? What was the last questioned?” Gloria asked the reporters.

The state of Nevada could be key to who wins the election. It’s that close. Gloria’s press briefing was to tell reporters that Clark County, home of Las Vegas, would not have an update until Thursday. Early Wednesday evening, Joe Biden was clinging to a lead of fewer than 7,800 votes. The state has six electoral votes.

The same was true in Washoe County, which includes Reno. The Las Vegas Sun said those results would be released Thursday morning as well., said Wednesday afternoon that they would not be releasing more results until 10 a.m. Thursday morning.

Nevada voters usually side with the victor in the presidential race. However, voters picked Hillary Clinton in 2016. It was only the second time since 1908 that the state had voted for someone other than the winner. It also happened in 1976, when the state sided with Gerald Ford and not Jimmy Carter.
