Missing Texas Hiker’s Body Found in Grand Teton National Park

Since the media storm surrounding the disappearance of 22-year-old vlogger Gabby Petito, authorities have solved an onslaught of missing persons cases throughout. Most recently, amid the ongoing investigation surrounding Ms. Petito and the remains of deceased fugitive Brian Laundrie, authorities have located another hiker’s body in Grand Teton National Park. Coincidentally, the park served as the location of Petito’s body just about a month ago.

On Sunday, a search entailing 80+ personnel concluded when authorities located the body of missing Texas hiker Jared Hembree. Authorities located the missing individual near Uhl Hill in the eastern region of the park. According to Fox News, authorities located the man’s vehicle at the Game Warden Point parking area in the same area.

The search for Hembree began Thursday. Park officials stated the missing person report came when an individual who’d encountered the hiker became concerned with his welfare. The call immediately identified the region in which recovery efforts located the missing hiker.

While information regarding Hembree’s death and disappearance remains minimal, officials have initiated an investigation.

Gabby Petito Coverage Leads to Recovery of Another Texas Hiker

As far as the death of Texas hiker, Jared Hembree, Outsider waits to hear a specified cause of death. Meanwhile, and as stated before, the investigation surrounding Gabby Petito has led to answers in several re-opened cold cases while also leading authorities to the bodies of other missing hikers and individuals.

Last month, Texas hiker Robert Lowery (46) went missing around the same time Gabby Petito’s mother last heard from her. The hiker’s body went undiscovered for about a month. Authorities later found the body in an area only 40 miles from the location where Gabby Petito’s body had been found.

Following the recovery of the man’s body, coroners confirmed Lowery’s death resulted from suicide, suffering a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities located Lowery’s body at the base of a ravine on September 28th, just over a week after Petito’s body saw recovery.

Gabby Petito Foundation Assists Searches for Other Missing Persons

Investigations into the deaths of deceased fugitive Brian Laundrie and vlogger Gabby Petito continue following the discovery of the former’s remains in Florida’s Carlton Reserve. Additionally, Laundrie’s death puts officials at a sort of stand-still. The fugitive had been the only known individual with answers regarding Petito’s disappearance and death.

Now, those unanswered questions deal another devastating blow to the Petito & Schmidt families as they process the death of their daughter. However, amid adversity and grief, the family has created a charitable organization meant to help others like Gabby.
