MyPillow has hit headlines recently following the CEO’s controversial claims that led to the product being released from many large stores. Less than a day before the brand’s very public consequences, the product’s social media was promoting a massive discount on the now-viral product.
We can’t help but wonder if MyPillow’s “hope7” sale is their last hope at keeping their brand afloat. Big-name retailers including Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohl’s, Wayfair and HEB, recently dropped MyPillow from their stores. MyPillow CEO, Mike Lindell, claims retailers are dropping his product because of public pressure on social media. Lindell has been vocal about his belief that the 2020 presidential election was rigged and has received backlash for these beliefs.
People Are Not Impressed By MyPillow Sale
People were quick to respond to the Tweet with their opinions about the brand. One commenter replied, “I like my pillows with more floof and less fascism and white supremacy….so …nah, I’m good.”
Another commenter wrote, “I bought one last week, but whenever I lay down your pillow keeps whispering in my ear to wear it’s pillowcase as a hood :(”
Another follower wrote, “This is the best toilet paper!!! Very fluffy. Doesn’t clump. Cleans in on swipe. Use this pillow since my Walmart is out of standard toilet paper. Highly recommend it.”
Another unhappy follower wrote, “Change the promo code to BidenWon.”
However, other followers are standing by the MyPillow brand. One fan wrote, “Bought two pillows 8 or 9 years ago, for my boys. Wash them frequently. Amazing quality! Thank you for standing by our President!”
Another supporter replied, “Love my pillow, just bought 2 last week! So comfortable!”
MyPillow CEO, Mike Lindell, May Be Sued
Officials with Dominion Voting Systems have sent Lindell a legal letter warning him that they will take action against his claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
“You have positioned yourself as a prominent leader of the ongoing misinformation campaign,” the letter said. “Litigation regarding these issues is imminent.”
Dominion sent letters to several other prominent figures who claim there were inaccuracies in Dominion’s voting machines. Celebrities include former federal prosecutor, Sidney Powell, and former New York City Mayor, Rudolph W. Giuliani.
