Ellen DeGeneres’ wife, Portia de Rossi, is taking a stand beside the daytime talk show host. De Rossi, 47, took to social media to show support for DeGeneres on Monday.

This past week, former employees of DeGeneres’ NBC show accused top executive producers of sexual misconduct and harassment. DeGeneres, 62, claims that she was unaware of the inappropriate behavior. Despite pleading ignorance, many on social media place the blame on the Emmy winning host.

“Arrested Development” star Portia de Rossi tied the knot with DeGeneres in 2008. She posted a graphic on Instagram to voice her support for her wife. The graphic reads, “I Stand By Ellen.” On the bottom right corner of the picture, De Rossi included her wife’s famous expression, “Be Kind to One Another.”

She shared the post with the caption, “To all our fans….we see you. Thank you for your support.” De Rossi also added a number of hashtags including #stopbotattacks and #IStandByEllenDeGeneres.

Instagram Reacts to Portia de Rossi and the ‘Ellen Show’ Controversy

In only hours after posting, tens of thousands of Instagram users liked the post. Furthermore, others took to the comments section to weigh in on the scandal. The post garnered mixed responses ranging from major support for DeGeneres to others accusing the comedian of being in the wrong.

“I will always stand by Ellen,” one user wrote. “She is one of my biggest inspirations and someone that consistently makes me laugh.” Another user voiced another stance writing, “Sorry but she needs to take responsibility.”‘

It remains unclear on what de Rossi meant by referencing “bot attacks.” One user took issue with the actress seemingly blame some of the criticisms on bots. “These are real people with real experiences but I guess you can call them bots lol,” one user writes.

Currently, the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” is undergoing an internal investigation by WarnerMedia, People reports.
